I drive 6 miles once a fortnight to buy 60 eggs from the free range farm for 8 pounds. This is the new price. It was 6 a few weeks ago. The eggs are fantastic

Yup. Its a distraction not to look at seymore hersch and the exposé on the pipes in the baltic

@arsemyth8920 and half the plastic packaging

@thathurt I take orders. I gave my local Chinese takeaway a tray of 30 eggs. She now gets 20 trays.

@thathurt I know I'm lucky. But I did make the sacrifice 25 years ago to take the much lower salary in the country side

@iamrocketray yes and the southern hemisphere is in summer and we do posses refrigerated shipping containers. We have been importing frozen and chilled fruits from Cape Town since Cecil John Rhodes set it up. All the grapes in Dec are from the orange River area in the northern Cape.

@pierrewave7235 its a pity the tunnels aren't made of glass because the washoff into the Mediterranean is putting tons of micro plastic in food chains of the marine life. Also the interior is suffering from water depletion. What's needed is the kabbutz system where all young people are required to do at least one year of farming so they know for the rest of their lives where food comes from.

@pierrewave7235 yeah I know. Poly is just cheap. I am a bit of of an idealist.

Do you have any idea how much we import from Holland.. Just check the label. The Dutch government is using the excuse of fertiliser run off to chase the farmers off the land and on top of that Europe is suffering from the boomerang sanctions of cutting of their nose to spite the peoples faces. Nasty putin DID NOT switch off the gas. The establishment did the nord stream 2 pipe. The establishment are playing silly buggers and are prepared to fight to the last Ukrainian and European

@goodquestion1 they do. You can see if there's money to be made. If you look at the maruawanna trade.

This is happening in America. In fact its been going on for months. The establishment are burning down food processing plants and chicken farms

Bbc is evil. You should have seen the pie lady. Martine Croxall fighting for shmima beggum. The establishment bubble

@pierrewave7235 and yes golf course. Don't press my blood pressure up. The establishment are literally pissing on the poor with the golf course. Take a place like arizona where people originally came to live with dry air and little pollen. Las Vegas takes trillions of water to run the electricity as well. Profligate consumers

@memyself1566 I know it sounds like a 3 letter word people thing but it is the only word beside collectivism. I just want the kids to realise that food doesn't materialise in the supermarket and factories. Its a year long process for most foods and lot more for beef
