45 year's ago I had an incompetent corrupt captain in the army. I had to obey orders. Then one day the greed gave me the opportunity to get free. He said an expensive battery was lost on patrol and the whole company had to pay a little of their salary. I said we could easily find it because there was nothing in the bush besides elephants. But he was having none of it. He got the whole company on parade in full kit and ordered them to run around the base until i complied. The troops were running around and i had to stand in the parade ground. This is classic army to divide and conquer. Something like jesus came to me that day.I was totally unafraid. The troops came to me and begged me to submit. I said that the official wanted the money for the officers bar bill. Suddenly the troops realised they were getting f....d. They all went back to their tents. I was ordered to the captain who threatened me with a court martial. We were operational and I raised my rifle and said try. That day i found my backbone. He lost his. I was never bothered again The Ukrainian soldier must realise that the officers are corrupt
