  1. When I immigrated in 97 I had to prove ancestry with the birth certificate of a distant relative. Then I was chest x-ray ed at Heathrow for TB. Then I was allowed to stay for 6 years and no benefits. Then the red tape and hoop jumping began. The 6 years passed and I was granted naturalisation and the red tape began again for a further 18 months before I was granted citizenship. I have never taken any welfare and even zero furlough money Now these rubber boat people are making a complete mockery of my procedure and what's more the mortgage is paid now and I'm the proud owner of the 2 up and down that me and my wife paid for.
