  1. What saddens me so much is how we waste iron. We cant make gold...BUTwe can make stainless steel. If we made all iron into stainless steel it would be a virtual gold but infinitely more valuable. Iron reinforced concrete will not last as long as the romans building for instance. If we built using the mechano set principle with nuts and bolts we could recycle buildings almost infinitely. If we built cars this way .modular. Instead of fashion cars we could have had stainless steel model T fords with V 8 engines getting replaced when a a better engine is invented . But no .we want cake ...brioche...instead of biscuits. We want hairdressers styles that cost women in the uk 200 pounds and more. Birkin handbags that cost more than an average audi. People are like the kardashians. Shallow and shortsighted. But what do i know What really gets my goat is when i think I've found an intelligent person i get asked a question like who do you think is going to win the world cup. Or see them following fashion. My sisters a good example. We started out poor in south africa and came to the uk . I have merely survived. But she thrived. Her husband worked incredibly hard and is a multi million millionare .but he buys porche cars I dont speak to them anymore so i dont know it for sure, but i think my sister may own a handbag worth....or let me rephrase it...cost a thousand pounds. Immediately people will say im jealous. I acknowledge that money is useful. Its how you utilised it that counts. Its how you preserve it that counts. But. What do i know.. I can tell you one thing. I have visited Rome I didn't just see buildings. I imagined how they were built and why. I imagined the ways and means that were employed to afford them. Much like today. Standing on the backs of peasants😮
