  1. It’s catastrophic for everything that had to be mothballed during covid. They go from having customers who couldn’t go out to spend to customers who can’t afford to spend. The energy companies will be taking 100bn out of consumers spending power from October, and another 100bn in January. The cost of covid help for SME’s over two years was £110bn.
