I have only one demand if more is spend. Only spend it on european bussinesses and innovation. There is no need to feed the wolves outside.

How is America funding it? For them it would mean 440,000 million $ extra every single year. For comparison currently it's already 860,000 mio $ and the costs of interests for the American debt is 890,000 mio $ every year already.

I'd say they follow it to 21/27 = 77%. And the missing percents are made up by the countries who pay well above the 2%. Congrats you made an own goal. Please inform yourself better next time.

Noone wants a superstate in Europe. United to the outside, diverse to the inside is enough for most.

No this is NATO a shared one. You can see it because Canada and Turkey is in there as well but both are not in the EU. Same as the UK actually.
1
If you earn more you can spend more and you probably have more territory and people to defend. No mate. Percentage is the only fair solution here. Besides NOONE IS PAYING INTO NATO ... you spend it into yourself.
1
For what actually? Russia is the last real threat in Europe. And after seeing Ukraine fighting it sucessfully it's military might was probably overstated.

A broken clock is also right twice a day. But I agree with one thing Trump may be right in 2/1440 cases ... just like a broken clock.

"Pay"? What do you mean? The rule is to spend 2% of YOUR GDP on YOUR military. No member transfers money to another. This is the lie a lot of Trump supporters swallowed. To make them believe American citizens would pay for other countries. To justify that America spends almost a trillion $ every years on it's military although NATO would allow to reduce spending by 40%.
1
Trump wants to send money to the US industrial complex. This is also why Trump got every angry that Europe makes cheaper and better military equipment. THERE you could see what Trumps real goal was ... to increase the dividends of US military eqipment companies.

If they find 440 bn extra every year ... yes. However I don't know how Trump will finance more spending and more tax cuts at the same time.
1
@legatilegions8055 US yearly interest costs is much higher. In 2024 it was 890 bn $. Or in other words the US already pays more for it's debt then the military spending.

@ I didn't knew as well until 2 weeks ago that it's this bad. But I was curious and did look it up. And I got this number confirmed by TLDR a couple days later.
