Please don't use the term "lower prices" in context of inflation. Your prices still go up, just not as much as under a higher inflation rate.

It doesn't really matter. Oil and Gas are sold to work market prices in the US. There is no law giving domestic buyers rebates or preferential treatment or price limits. And to correct your statement: Europe made no enemy, Putin did. And "only" to 42% the amount of energy imports from Russia.

@Gewehr_3 Living standard is not the same as life expectency. And sadly it's true. The UK and US are the only G20 countries with diminishing life expectencies. Some scientists suggest this is down to income and wealth inequality because this is one measure which is extremly different to the other countries.

Sorry mate but this is not an opinion that's counting. The numbers are simply against you on this one.

I wouldn't worry either. The US is riddled with political and economical problems and especially with income inequality it is taking it's toll sooner or later. What good is low unemployment when you need 2 jobs to simply survive? What good is your income when you cannot afford a house and have to stay on rent while the rents explode. What good is your lifes work when you are poor in old age and cannot afford healthcare nor social care and the rich are aiming at taking your social security away (in the US).

@lgnfve I don't care. The numbers are still against you. You can of course interpret things differently and make your own opinions and projections but please don't insult us by rewriting the numbers.

"Grow more"? 3% of 100 is more than 10% of 25.

State financials work differently to bussiness or household financials. The amount of debt is irrelevant. The percentage to your GDP and in relation to your growth is.

Why does it matter when everything is still sold to world market prices ... the same price Europe pays?

Yes. And we see on the life expenctency how this turns out.

@inbb510 It's not that easy. It's an average and it means it also hits people earlier who are still able to work. Maybe a healthproblem they cannot afford. It would be economically more efficient when people live longer and can work longer because there is a lot of overhead to growing up, being educated and being old.
