Something must come to counter embezzlement and corruption and undermining of the rule of law.

Norways seem to like the way it is. It seems EU laws are not as bad as Brexiteers are belching around.
3
I would in any case add laws for membership to prevent the situation happening in Poland, Hungary and Bulgaria regarding the rule of law, basic democratic principals, human rights and some measures against corruption and embezzlement of EU money.

It would not only saved Island from losing have the wealth but also the UK from losing 45% between 2007 and 2020.
2
Same happened and still happening in the UK. In the night of the referendum they drained billions out of the enconomy overnight. And they will most likely try again soon.
2
Why bother have you seen the numbers? No need to confirm something which changes nothing. It would be something else if the numbers would be 60/40 or something but they look more like 40/60.

Let me guess David. You are a member of one of the 5 UK fishing families own the majority of UK's or should I say English fishing rights and making small fishermen pay to the nose to live on leasing them for a season. Scotland was more clever, they only sold 6% of their rights.

No wonder you think that with Mudock TV in form of Sky Australia poisoning your opinion to billionair-friendly political environment.
1
Because the lower classes fall for this very easily. Thinking someone is taking away their means to feed themselves not realizing that the wealthy 5% of the country ensuring that already in other ways. And that way everyone is discussing heated on social media on 0.1% of GDP while tech-companies like ARM or manufacturing which really bring in money suffer the consequences of this stubborness.

Please keep your preconceptions to yourself. No need to repeat the lies. “The community which we are joining is far more than a common market. It is a community in the true sense of that term." Prime Minister Edward Heath, 1973 Joining the EEC was always more than a trade deal. You have been conned by the leave-campaigners to believe a lie.
1
@Thetache Look it up. Edward Heath actually hold a passionate speech about it. And I have more for you: Winston Churchill was the first to use the name "United States of Europe". So there are more politicians who wanted more than trade.
1
@Thetache Well as long as you vote in Tories or LibDems there is no chance for improvements. And the newest iteration of them is more corrupt and incompetent at the same time then ever before. If you don't like the government then vote better people and stop listening to the Tory-owned newspapers telling you what to think.
1
@Thetache If you vote Tory all time how can it change. Have you not realized for over a decade now the Tories draining the UK and you wonder why everything goes downhill? You voted for them and for more even and believed the liars about Britain, about the EU about Brexit and only make it worse and worse with it. At this I point I make YOU responsible for that happening because you still vote the wrong people.
1
@Thetache And I can see a Tory voter being embarrased to have voted for all this nonsense.

Well there are multi forms of free trade. What they meant is frictionless trade, the highest form of free trade. And they are right before the EU there wasn't such a thing. Free Trade normally only means: No Tariffs, No Limits, No Qutoas. And although I'm not sure, but I guess such a things was there before the EEC. Can you give me an example for such a trade deal before 1970? And if you deny my point about "fritctionless trade" can you give me an example for that before 1970 and outside the EEC?
1
@arkatub Times have changed unregulated trade leads to market decline by losing wealth to the outside. The EU is an expert at this topic. Your form of trade is so 20th century outdated and dangerous and exploitative playing out one country against another.
1
@arkatub Correct. The EU is fiercly protecting it's members from unfair competition, including the UK until January-31-2020. Now UK wanted the EU to become an 8-times larger rival on the doorstep ... protecting their members from unfair competition from the UK ... fiercly.
1
@arkatub This is true if your internal market is too small. The EU is well beyond the threshold. The model is so successful that China tries to copy it and even the US.
1
Fair enough. Have you watched the video and the part with Islands currency loosing 50% of it's value? I guess not.
1
Dear TLDR Team. Can you please make a video cleaning up the mess around the allegations about CFP destroying fishing in EU countries especially in the UK to close this chapter and answer the question "What destroyed UK fishing" once and for all. And maybe explain the CFP on it's problem a little more if there are any and the implications and goals of the CFP regarding protection of fishing and the environment.

Who is paying your bills? By the sound of it Mr. Putin.
1
You don't now what you talking abound you only combine every fragment of disinformation you have been fed in one long paragraph.
1
Congrats you perfectly copied Nigel Farage. I knew if he repeats it often enough some will fall for it.
1
@ThatIcelandicDude Of course Island must try to keep good relations, UK likes their fish more even than UK's own fish. And fish and cheap electricity are more or less the only resources.
