  1. Germany don't do that anymore. It turned out to be too costly that way. Germany instead pushes for a unified economy in form of the EU. And progressing well so far. The EU is the most successfull project in multi-lateralism in human history not even the UN comes close. And it makes military conflict completly unnecessary.

Biden was just starting to fix relations with European Countries because he knows we must act together to go against countries like Russia and China and to deal with Climate Change. There couldn't be a better moment to throw a spanner into the works. Solution is simple: Public Apology, end of this practise, full transparency on the whistleblower because I think it's relevant and full transparency on the spied material from the US. Potentially even law-enforcement if the actions were not condoned by the US government or the agency went rogue.
