I think the model of just left and right is outdated and was wrong from the beginning. The last decade shown that there is a difference between right and extreme right as the last century proved there is difference between left and extreme left. Politics should be circle or sphere with Freedom and Moderate Politics at the top and Control and extreme politics at the bottom. Why do I say this? Because extreme left (Dictatorial Communism) leads to something very similar as extreme right (Fascism). Just compare Stalin's Soviet Union with Hitler's Germany and ask yourself why they were able to ally themselves until their wish to control lead to them falling out over each other.

What I see here: 1) People are tribal. In times of problems the tribe shrinks to make the problems more manageable. 2) Humans fear what they don't know and getting hostile with existential fear.

@andreaslahmberg5641 Have you really lived with some close-by? Have you talked with them? Were you friends with them? What have they done to you to justify your anger?

@Valerio_the_wandering_sprite Germany is not the only country in Europe with jumping Gas Prices. Check the UK. Check East-Europe. This is not just a German problem. Your argument is weak anyway. If Germany would have buyed those 41% Gas from somewhere else it would have lead to the same effect you see now. So what would "buying from someone else" earlier would have helped to achieve?

Rubbish misinterpretation.

@georgedevries3992 This is not quite correct what you say: Germany imported "just" 41% of Natural Gas from Russia. A lot ... but hardly "all eggs in a basket".

Quite clever distribution of funding by the EU here. Finally they stopped just showering members in money which can easily disappear in corruption. You have to have a plan and only get more when progress is seen. Turning the money into incentive and punishment if needed.

I'm a little saddened how many fall the "just get rid of the immigrants and all will get well"-approach. It was designed to exploit and increase the existing hate and direct it somewhere and is utilizing the fear people have from new and unknown people. And it solves nothing it has even the potential to make things worse (see low-wage jobs, aging of a population and demographics (you need 2.1 children per family to maintain a population). If you have problems look up the ladder not down and make sure you are not the problem yourself and just decided to be angry at other because it's easier for you. And some politicians just want to use and hide behind this to stay or get in power but not actually want to solve anything ... because they would lose their beloved campaign strategy: Use the hate for yourself.

It looks chaotic but this is true democracy at work. If you do nothing while in government people will vote you out no matter how many parties you combined into a coalition. This prevents stagnation you get when a party know it will be voted because there is no alternative (US) or when the government-parties decides to just not agree on anything leading to nothing or when there is just one government party just doing bad things or nothing. There is just one BIG caveat here ... some decissions are unpopular but necessary. If you only vote for things you like it means you will vote for whoever promisses the most ... and will most likely be disappointed. There is a reason why politics is called: The Art of the Possible

Interesting angle. I heared the Mafia has a hard time over the last years. You really think they trying to help the Brothers of Italy so Mafia can maintain a grip on society?
