The main problem is the trust is gone. This is the real cost of the lies and broken promisses.

Only people with a Coutts Bank account really knows how hard life can be. ^^

What is the point of not voting? Noone ever knows. The only one who is punished by this is yourself because others decide for you. Which is ironically the point you give for not voting.

Makes me sad people with the most problems still believe ending EU membership solve this ... or caused this.

Starmer and Sunak meet in a train. Sunak is heading for the 1st class and while passing Starmer he says: "So you want to get rid of the 1st class?" Starmer answers: "No. I want to get rid of the 2nd class."

Thank you for giving us again a window in Britains real life. I'm looking forward for you and your team showing if and how things change now under Labour.
22
A Labour Council with a Tory Westminster is pointless. Even if Labour has the best intentions - all the money to do things comes from Westminster. Before Brexit at least the EU could help out here and there bypassing Westminster buerocracy but not even that is possible anymore.
12
What Do you prefer? Overpromissing without delivery like in the last 14 years or underpromissing but you get what is promised (and feasible)?
12
Milton Keynes ... do they still have these delivery robots? It was one of the strangest stories in this series.

The opposit actually but they need to be in government for that not for 10 years now. Read their manifesto about local administation, youth centers, libraries, social programs and so on. The current ones reduced spending by 77% since 2010 no wonder everything is closed and cut back.

1) Perception is everything in politics 2) Truth has left the building
9
Careful who you vote for tactically. Some choices make it more likely to get a Tory again.
7
You want even worse than Tories? Mr. Brexit himself? Have you learned nothing in the last 5 years?
6
Being proved right about Brexit and Leveling-up is no fun at all. But seeing these little spots of compassion helps not losing hope in humanity.
6
Mr. Brexit himself? Are you sure about that?
6
Thank you for this video and others. It helps level your viewpoint back to where it matters and applies.

The last 14 years destroyed trust in politics. Starmer has a long way ahead to rebuild some of it. But you need to give people a chance to prove it.
5
But Labour was not in power for almost a decade now. And the last time they were they were interrupted by the US financial crisis.
5
You mean like: The only thing more dangerous than an answer is a question?
4
Why do people think "they are equally bad"? Tories controlled government and House of Commons now for 14 years even if your local MP was not a Tory. The other parties were nowhere near having a chance to impact your life. Give Labour power so they can show they are different.
4
And making it even worse with it. You really think the billionaire Richard Theiss who funds Reform is interested in the little people?
4
But when they are not in power they can't really change anything. UK never gave Labour a chance in a decade now. And voting a Labour MP locally does not mean he or she is able to improve the situation when not in government.

Maybe you should invite Mr. Johnson to accompany you on your trip for some days including rough sleeping for one night maybe even on a graveyard. He was once recently asked "how he can relate himself to the british people" ... no answer. He tried 5 times to begin with an answer and failed ... after the trip with you guys maybe he can.
3
You know the difference between disliking and lying? And lying and misinformation? And fact and opinion?
3
@0w784g You are right maybe it was even longer. Doesn't change the rest. You need to give people an opportunity to prove you wrong.
2
Sadly they are not fit to do the jobs in the NHS being doctors and nurses, cleaning staff and whatnot ... or teachers for that matter.
2
Because it would mean their taxes need to rise. The only source of money in Britain left are the rich people. And they refuse to vote for getting less money.
2
@SJG-nr8uj I don't have to know every detail. You can see the effects leaving the EU has on Britain. It solved nothing and created even new problems. And on migration? Well Britain left the EU and immigration doubled while half of the economy is asking for more workers.
2
What measure makes you think the UK is doing similar or better than comparable countries. The UK not even reached pre-pandemic levels again. Europe done that 2 years ago.
2
"Compassion for the Conned. Contemp for the Conmen."
2
You are 4 days away of contradicting yourself.
1
I don't get it: Why is Labour blamed for Gaza? Sunak and the Tories are in government and controlling foreign policy ... for 14 years already.
1
Careful who you vote for. The wrong choice makes Tories for another 5 years more likely not less.
1
Why do people blame Labour? They were not in power for 14 years.
1
Oh Austerity did work. It done wonders to rich peoples taxes because all the saved money was used to fund tax cuts.
1
Leaving the EU did not solve any problems it just created even more. Joining the EU will not fix any of the old problems just the new ones. The fault is and always was in Westminster. [Edit: And maybe in the UK media funded by the 1%]
1
It was a good scapegoat for 40 years for some people. Now they seek another to blame for ... and immigrants are put forward by the rich to avoid the rich becoming the target of the anger.
1
@Doggle Bird Apparently it was a mistake. 2 years out and things continue to worsen.
1
Because the pay is not enough to live from it. You'd need 2 or 3 of them.
1
Not with this government and attitude ... but they would consider it when Britain reformed, dealed with it's issues and has a new government and shows a real committment.
1
Reminds me of something from China: Xi written a book about his mental ramblings called "Xi's Thoughts" and dictatorial and narcissistic as he is he made it mandatory literature in media and education.
1
Brexit did not solve any problems in the UK it just created new ones. So why should Rejoin?
1
@da90sReAlvloc No because Putin likes Farage and Reform and he want to finish the invasion. The last thing Putin wants is more support from the UK to accelerate his loss and probably the end of his reign in Russia.
1
Labour wasn't even in, in the last 14 years.
