  2. But Labour was not in power for almost a decade now. And the last time they were they were interrupted by the US financial crisis.

  3. But when they are not in power they can't really change anything. UK never gave Labour a chance in a decade now. And voting a Labour MP locally does not mean he or she is able to improve the situation when not in government.
