The problem with politicians connected to Putin is - and Schröder is a small fish here just look at Boris Johnson, the Tory-Party leader and British Elite practially living in Oligarchs pockets - Putin has compromat over all of them. All the receipts of bribes and transactions, list of favors and actions, documents, videos, audio recordings and whatnot. If Putin wanted he could throw all western democracies into chaos and turmoil for months by relasing all this information. Collection of 25 years of corruption. Those politicans are now more or less taken hostage by Putin forced to do what he wants or have their lives ruined potentially to the point of charges of treason.
