I can understand people who just want to keep going on and only want to survive but Fascism grows when you not resist it and even more when you give it what it wants. This is like a bully asking your for stuff. The moment you comply they learn "oh this works" and they will ask for more and more and more until one day they want something from you don't want or can give them. Resistance costs more the longer you wait.
