There should not even be a need for food or water by having short lines, meaning enough election offices in denser areas to keep the lines short to 10 minutes maximum or so like everywhere else.

This happens when the lawmakers themselves are corrupt and desperate.

They do this for decades people just not looked quite so closely as they have since Trump woke everyone up. And they were never this extreme about it, but it's happening for over 200 years now. And I think it's time to end this. And a federal law setting the core rules for elections is overdue.

@tommohawksaxe2609 And don't let the Salmonds or Farages distract you. And if you not already know. Have a look at "A different bias".

Crow-Fund Democrats ... it's the only way to fight corporate funding the republicans receive.

This is not only a black/white issue. It's enough you tend to vote Democrats (which they can find out very accute) and they will try to make voting harder for you even if you are white.

@joentl1969 Mostly but not only

Everywhere Republicans having issues getting a majority. It's even unimportant if there are mostly whites or not, if they vote Democrats they have the same unfair rules.

Sounds like: "Shut up about it we don't want anyone to know about it." Besides: The governor signed this law last weekend. So it's a current topic.

Quite outrageous. If state legislators don't like the outcome in a county they can just declare it invalid. And they control the people who make this decission. This is more or less the same as only having one option on the ballot papers: Republicans Imagine the Democrats would try that stunt. Half the state would be in riots already.

Yes probably in 2030. Two years after Trump's 3rd inauguration and one year after the US Democracy has been abolished for the first American Imperium.
1
Yes maybe. When the Republicans have a majority. It could make it even easier for them to change laws. That's why Biden is careful with the expression "Getting rid of" it can seriously backfire. And that'S the reason why he is considering an older form of it instead of getting rid of it completly. That's why he is suggesting making Filibustering "expensive" for the complainer.

This happens when you only watch Fox and Newsmax because Fox and Newsmax say CNN and Co is only lying ... and you are bombarded by the same lie for over 2 months. At some point the people believe it ... just because they heared it often enough.

Stick to rules and apply the one real power you have in a democracy: Your Vote ... No matter how hard they make it for you.

Nah. China is even the Republicans goal. All parties are forbidden besides their own. All companies are infiltrated by party members, party members are above the law, untouchable by police or Courts, the courts always decides in favor of the party. Protests are not allowed, Free Opinion is not allowed, Most of the Internet is not allowed, Any Dissent or Disharmy is punished and squashed. THIS is the real goal of the Republicans a defacto Party Dictatorship.

Water is not the issue. The long waiting lines are. Normal lines of 6 minutes instead of 6 hours or even more and you don't need water.
1
@michaelhalstead7532 I have, havn't I. The Problem is just that Republican voters don't understand why it's brought up. Now you know. But to be honest, not allowing to help people with food and water when they desperatly need it, e.g. after standing more than 5 hours in a line ... is inhuman.

1) It may take too long. It must be dealed with well before Nov 2022 and the Republicans or their lawyers will find a way to delay the proceedings if they can. 2) Trying to fix this by the justice system is uneffective. It needs to be fixed centrally for all states at once. Having said that I highly recommend both avenues.

@tommohawksaxe2609 Yes you can if it weren't for the Filibuster. The UK made an emergency law in 2019 to prevent leaving the EU without a deal which would had serious effects on all aspects of society. They needed 3 days for it. If the lawmakers want, they can be every efficient. It's just quite often they don't want to be efficient. And sometimes they prefer things never pass, especially if you are in a minority, which the Filibuster currently makes extremly easy.

@tommohawksaxe2609 My suggestion is to do both. But a legislative change has definitly more substance because courts and judges are bound by laws.
