  1. Just planting mono-cultures of trees is not helping much. Pleasen listen to newer ecological research and scientists to make this more effective, lasting and sustainable. The key to good solutions is caring for the ground as much as for the trees on it. The ground or better the microbilogy in it is storing the water not the trees and the ground makes areas more resisting to drought, store more water, prevent erosion and allow denser plant and insect life other plants in turn need. And all of this is helping the ground to store more water during the monsun and reducing the risk of floods and offsetting the intensity and duration of droughts.
