  4. I am against a ban but for a selling of the company. I see this from the other side as well from Chinese politics. And the Chinese government is extremly aggitated and involved in doing everything to prevent the bill in the first place and to prevent the selling after that. And if an adversarial government who swears to the world "it has no influence on TikTok" is so enraged and tries so hard to prevent it then something is up.

  5.  @fraudbuster1456  There are two sides of this and both can be true. And here is even an extra angle. Tariffs are payed by the importer is still true. The additional costs will be included into the price of the product so it is more expensive. Higher price usually means less demand or people look for a cheaper alternative if they really need this. This in turn can make non-imported goods more attractive but only if they really are cheaper. Some companies also increase their price to almost imported prices to simply get more money for the same. This effects the American consumer either way. Now if the demand goes down this effects the foreign exporter. This is why the exporting country will look for goods which are exported by the US and put retaliatory tarrifs on them. And yes these would have to be payed by the foreign customers and put pressure on demand / the US exporter. This however is not effecting the US customer but the US producer / employees / companies. This is called a trade-war. And trade-wars have no winners everybody loses. Now some countries are really cunning with this and put tarrifs only on products which effects only bussinesses of certain politicians who supporting or created the original tariff in the first place. Making sure his voters will be very unhappy and potentially prevent his reelection. And who may impact his personal finances e.g. because he is stockholder or the company is a donor. And finally. There are import/export bans possible. Meaning you cannot even trade the goods affected ... not even for a higher price. This is what Canada is threatening to just cut the power or prevent the export of oil to the US.

  7. I wouldn't say that. America exports a lot of corn, wheat, soybean across the planet. In fact soybean was the biggest bussiness with China. But also natural gas and American oil because not all oil in America can be used in America because of chemical differences.

  8. @ Some oil can be used for some purposes. There is use for some of it in America but not all of it. The same is true for the rest of the world. They use some of it but not exclusivly. Some can be refined to fuel, heavy oil, diesel, aviation fuel or even rocket fuel. Some is better for plastics. Some is better for medical products.

But those "friends" hate America to the bones and look for ways to end it's dominance on the planet and militarily isolate it. BRICS was formed for this sole purpose. And BRICS has more members who have some grudges with America or try to rival it's dominance.

  24. Biden might want to win, but his body might fail him. I know this hurts and is hard to admit especially seeing it before in an elderly relative or even parent. Having to tell this person he should not drive a car anymore and take more time and be more careful and telling him he cannot do some activities anymore. But does America deserve a candidate which is primarily fighting himself?

  42. It's the accumulated anger of their life. Anger is transferable meaning anger from one thing can be added to anger from something other. Fox News is masterfully controlling this to keep the anger away from them, Trump, the GOP, Corporations and direct it at political rivals, target of their choosing, scapegoats. But the more anger is being accumulated the more volatile the person becomes.

  47. Trump is refering to the voter suppression of voters most likly voting Democrats. It was in 2024 as bad as never before. It's rumored 3 mio voters have been suppressed by various methods. Voters who voted but whos vote was not counted or they found a way to challenge or exclude them. And they continue this voter suppression. America is slowly turned into Russia or a one-party state where elections are just for show because Republicans lost the ability to win fairly some time ago.

  50. Trump supporter will swim through an ocean to vote for Trump. You cannot say the same for Biden. There is no hope, no motivation, no vision there is only more of the same. You cannot win an election based on "I am not Trump" and "Fear Trump" (justified or not). You need to give people hope. Hope works better than fear. Bidens fatigue and mental glitches undermining any of this.
