  1. I'm still shocked that this kind of legislation is even legal in the united states. In all other democracies you have to pass single issues. So delegates can vote yes/no to each topic.

  2. There is strategy with this. They put in the tax-cuts for the rich as a super-sweet pill together with 20 bitter or even poison pills. And since they added some budget stuff they can enable the "needs only 50 senators" switch on this thing and pass it through the Senate with only 50 instead of the usual 60 senators (the democrats will never vote yes on this).

  4. Why not just call it "Ermächtigungsgesetzt" and be done with American democracy. It is dying for a while now.
