If things gotten her way and No-Deal would have come UK might have been able to left the Common Fisheries Policies, but also all fish-sells to the EU would have added WTO-tariffs on top what is happening now anyway at the border with checks and health-certification for all the 0.1% of GDP. Along with every other goods the UK exports to the EU including steel, cars, electronics, components and chemicals.

  5. Trump wants to steal ... literally even has given Zelensky a piece of paper with it to sign it. Europe would be content to trade it with Ukraine. But this is about European security primarily. Trump ... pardon ... Putin will not stop until all former Sovjet states are back in his control he will probably not stop there and ultimativly want all of Europe.

  8. This is something I never understood. Why did Biden not just confiscated Russia's and especially Putin's assets in America and used that to give it to Ukraine. Trump will - if not already has - unfreeze the accounts and give it back to Russia and indirectly helping Putin with the war against Ukraine.

The problem is, we now dealing with worse variations of the virus and the restriction are actually not strong enough anymore but noone dares suggesting increasing the restrictions and when they do people start talking about "Freedom". But the alternative cannot be to let it run free. This would lead to more problems even with vaccinations underway. Come on get yourself together, the finish line is in sight. Just a little longer.

  12. Brexit is just starting. It's 4 months old. All the real world effect it has are just beginning. EU subsidies are gone for regional development and agriculture. The new red tape for trading and the uncertainty also has it's effects ... long term effects. The economy is tanking but cannot do this forever. The biggest revenue generator services has not even an agreement yet and can be changed within 60 days. Uncertainty at all fronts. And there is Covid. The economy is currently on lifesupport through Furlough and other things. Those will end soon and the full effects of Covid become visible in addition to Brexit. Labour can be lucky to be off the floor and allow the Tories to deal with the full consequences of their own Brexit and their own Covid-Handling. And the still remaining effects of Tory-Austerity which are hardly mentioned but this program is still running after 11 years.

  13. I'm highly disappointed by Lynch on this. He is a clever man, but his Lexity-Arguments containing misinformations about the EU are very disappointing. The EU is not turning into a state. And even if they plan it, you will get a Referendum about it. The EU is not a state and therefore not controlling any taxes. It sets minimum rates for VAT to avoid creating market distortion within the Single Market but that's it. The EU may get an army, but this would change nothing to now while in NATO. And any actions of this army are done like everything else in the EU ... by consensus decisions including Veto. You can nationalize while in the EU ... but not dispossession without reasonable compensation. EU regulations are minimum-regulations you are free to go above and beyond. And the only reason to leave the EU is to go BELOW the minium or drop it.

  24. Sunak is promising to "Remove EU Red Tape". Well 1st there is no EU red tape anymore. The UK left 3 years ago all remaining Red Tape is UK red tape. And 2nd please read what "red tape" he wants to remove. Worker Rights among them limits on work time and Environmental Protections you remember this stuff they refused to put in the binding part of the Withdrawal Agreement so they can lower and/or remove them (without breaking international law) ... well now here it comes.
