Well maybe here is a little advantage to Brexit (and we looked so long for one). Brexit stopped / reduced the market for the producers of smoked salmon. Funny side remark: Isn't there a staunch Brexit supporter making/selling Smoked Salmon now complaining about Red-Tape ruining his bussiness. Must be co-incidental (or not?).

@ukkev7290 This red tape was introduced by and the law for it written by British politicians in Brussels. Ironically to keep competition out and protect the market. And this is not new red tape. It's there for decades. And Remainers warned you about that since 2016 but you didn't listen and called it project fear.

@ukkev7290 That's a lie. The paperwork currently needed is the same you have when you import from Turkey or from America, or from Marocco. The same which was needed last year and the years before. It's just with the end of the transition phase the UK actually really left the Single Market and this is the result. Happy Brexit. See you when you re-join in 10 years or so.

@ukkev7290 The UK could have better / less paperwork and checks at the border. Unfortunatly the UK government was against the level playing field and alignment, against being in the Customs Union or Single Market and this lead to the trade deal the UK now have. A minimum Trade Deal but tariff free at least. Which is just one notch better than No-Deal. But in any case, the UK took the deal willingly. To be precise the EU hasn't even ratified it yet. Face it. The UK wanted to go it's own way as a 3rd country to the EU and now it is. Are you telling me what you wanted for 6 years, leave the EU and stand on your own feet, make your own trade deals without EU involvement is not good enough for you? Careful what you wish for. And next time, listen to the experts please. See you for Rejoining.

Celebrity Culture ... even exploited by politicians. Can you remember at what point suddenly people started to say "Boris" not "Mr. Johnson". They make their voters believe they are actually their friends. And as friends people are far more forgiving when they make mistakes. See Trump, see Johnson, see Brexit, see Corona-Handling. But Johnson and Co. better be prepared, it's a double-edged sword. Being in the personal circle of people creates extrem rage and anger on betrayal or when they are found out because ... well because it's personal.
