Putin has problems taking over Ukraine so now he changed to "burned earth" strategy?

You mean Putin? Do you think a sociopathic narcissist like Putin is able to "step back" on it's own? He is one of those guys who would burn everything down to the ground if it means he can be King of the Ashes.

Not Nato. Nato is just a defensive alliance (Attack on one is an attack on all). Which would be perfect for Ukraine to be left alone. But being in the EU would change things. The EU is a confederation of countries with the motto "united to the outside, diverse on the inside." And contrary to NATO the EU is political and economical and can help prosper and develop the Ukraine quicker than Ukraine alone or as Russian Protectorat ever could. And this is the last thing Putin wants: A prosperous democracy on his front door convincing his Russians that the grass is greener on the other side making and end to his Cleptocracy in Russia.

Gas as in "Natural Gas". The EU gets most of it's oil from Norway and Scotland.

Have you not seen the Reporter running through the city of Kiev talking to Ukrainians?

They are independent. No adds from or for anyone and directly funded by all german people. No taxes though the german government has no control over them.

Not many left. Everyone vs. Russia and Everyone vs. China. If we solve that we can dismantle everything and head for space.

NATO is defensive only. It would never invade Russia unless invaded first.

In absolute numbers Germany is spending more on military than the United Kingdom. It may be percentage-wise not quite 2% but it was still more than the UK. And remember they have Aircraft carriers. And they put everything into defensive weapons and military because they are by constitution prevented to spend money on offensive weaponry.

@worldofameiso5491 In 2020/2021 the UK spend 59,8 billion $ on military spending. Germany spend 63,8 billion $ in the same year. It is jsut 1.57% of GDP but it is more than the UK spends. And Germany has no Aircraft carriers or nuclear bombs.

Sounds like Brexit-Regrets from you.

Being overrun by a power-hungry maniac who still lives in the 20th if not even 19th century is not helping the poor either. Do you care to surrender your freedom to Putin?
1
None of that was a NATO operation. Some NATO members were involved but they did that on their own.
1
He did. Just yesterday on CPAC. And the said that for the last 8 years on every rally on every CPAC frankly he sounds like a brocken record now.

... having 3 guys with the largest arsenal of the planet on his side. Even sociopathic bullies like Putin respect and understand strength ... maybe even only that.
1
Yeah ironic that Trumps attempts now actually make it a little harder for Putin. But this is Trump. He just wanted to earn money by selling more weapons and not incorporated that his choosen Alpha Putin would have a problem with that later.

Three times is the charm.

It may be the last war of Europe. When Russia gets rid of Putin and turns into a real democracy without the Sovjet ballast and corruption of the last 30 years than Russia can start trading with the EU and join the EU in 15-20 years. It will make an end to all conflicts in Europe.
1
I'm sure the EU Army Project will now be moved forward. I bet something Putin also not likes that much to happen. He tried to breakup the EU by helping Brexit come to pass.

Whoever uses a Nuclear Weapon first will be blamed. If anyone is left after this. The world has enough of them to destroy everything 5 times over.
