  1. Not really unexpected is it? Netanyahu had 3 months and 2 or 3 different proposals he all torpedoed with unreasonable requests because he is not really interested in a ceasefire ... or peace for that matter. It would mean elections and him losing and going to prison for corruption.

America has 3 levers on this: 1) Suspend all weapons deliveries until peace is established 2) Suspend all financial aid until peace is established (3,800 mio every year plus extras like this years 21,000 mio $) 3) Tell Israel: If Israel goes further in war with the middle east and continue actions in the Westbank and Gaza and Israel will be on it's own However we have an election year in America. And it's very unlikely any of that will happen before November 5. Netanyahu's government exploited the tight relations to America to become a bully to it's neighbours and a terror-regime to it's own citizens noone can touch. It's time the "puppy-protection" granted by the US and other countries due to the holocaust is ending and Israel is judged and treated like any other country.
