  1. The Solomon-Island are in no danger of being invaded and occupied by any of the pacific nations ... except by China who still seek to use military conquest to expand (and Russia of course). So why would you volunteer to make a military-base which makes it easy to invade and conquer the rest? Is Solomon-Island also aware that in case Taiwan is invaded or China tries to invade any other pacific country that Solomon-Island become a target and a waring faction? And worse when China tries to place nuclear weapons on this island it would force a response from New Zealand and Australia.
