  1. Germans are very direct sometimes to the point of impoliteness but very honest. When they say "as soon as possible" they really mean it. Germany is slow to decide but once it made up it's mind they follow through.

  4. Almost all kids in Germany have English as their first language in school. East Germany had even Russian until the 1989. And French, Spanish or Latin and/or Ancient Greek as 2nd and/or 3rd language.

  5. Only people with a US citizenship can register to vote. Only registered people can vote. Immigrants who are still applying for citizenship cannot vote. Immigrants who's application is denied but stay are than technical illegal or people who entered the US without asking for citizenship are illegal immigrants. Noone of them can vote.

Republic means you have no king and Democracy means that people vote their government. You can have both. The UK for example is a Democracy but not a Republic because it still has a monarchy but also a Parliament and Government.

  23. You realize that noone pays "into" NATO right? NATO has a simple rule. Use 2% of your own countries GDP and invest it in your military. This is how NATO works. And this is to make sure when a NATO member is attacked there are enough reserves available for defense. Now Germany has a serious problem. It is forbidden by law to have offensive weaponry and nuclear weapons due to WW2. If you have the worlds 4th largest economy and you cannot buy offensive stuff you have insanely much defensive stuff which is only rotting away ... until Ukraine admittingly.

  25. People especially Republicans looked very hard and couldn't find enough to convince even a Trump appointed judge. It never happened or Republicans would long sueing the government. It was a trick by Trump to convince you to donate to him. So he can pay off his debt and live a life in luxury in Florida.

  27. It's not so easy. Germany is very dependant but not fully. 55% of Natural Gas and 40% of Oil comes from Russia the rest from other sources. On top of that Germany has large underground storages for Natural Gas they are not empty they contain enough for this winter and the next winter partly.

The laws currently made in Red States are largely to make elections harder, make throwing out votes easier and make overturning election results easier.   37. NATO cannot expand. A country must decide to join and apply. Ukraine asked once in 2008 after they voted out Putins Puppet in Kiev. It was denied. Since than nothing. And regarding the NATO "promise" DWNews has a video about this. Check the video archive. It was made to the Soviet Union. Not to Russia.

But this is opinion. Even more important are the facts and informations they need to be true. When I catch a channel intently lying to me or lying about their bias I stop listening. When I have a conservative channel who sticks to the Truth I have no issues watching them. But when someone is lying I stop watching.

  40. No. And in the US you cannot as well. Immigrants (legal or illegal) cannot register to vote and not vote not even per mail-in voting. Only US citizens. However copying the German system is a good idea. Mandatory National-ID with 15 years. Auto-Register for voting. Auto-Send of Voting-Papers with the option to ask for mail-in ballots without needing a reason.

  42.  @pittwm  Voting no longer on Sundays so people can no longer vote after going to church. Even less drop-boxes for ballots requiring people to drive much longer. Less voting-offices especially in Democratic areas meaning the people need to wait in even longer queues than before. Giving people who need to wait hours to vote food and water is no longer allowed. Laws to allow visit people in their homes (allowing voter intimidation). Republicans arranged laws so they have acceess to the ballots in the voting office while Democrats can't allowing voter intimidation and potential access to ballots before counting. Laws to allow Republican lawmakers to dismiss whole districts and refuse and dismiss certifications. Laws to make dropouts of registries easier without proper notice to the voter.
