You mean out of greed. It is extremly profitable to have this temporary cooperation. Low cost oil and other resources, coal and other resources and big market for selling electronics since the sanctions prevents imports from anywhere else. But this is not benefitial for Russia long term. China is like a vulture starting to pick on the carcass.

Out of necessity I believe due to the war and the economic sanctions to lessen the impact. But it is a dangerous cooperation because China would make Russia a protectorate in an instant or even consume parts of it if possible for land and especially for ressources.

@mrq5361 What Do you have against green technology. Solar Power has become the cheapest form of energy cheaper even than nuclear power. It took 30 years but green technology pays out in the long run and not only beeing more environmental friendly but also more economical.

Putin tried to remake the Sovjet Union but not based on a modern model of a federation with friendship, equality and cooperation like in the EU but under the old model of central government and oppression if not even military occupation like in the Sovjet Union in the 20th century. And regions simple don't want to lose their freedoms again.

Why should they? The german government has no influence on DWNews and the funding directly from the germany people makes them independent of companies, corporations and billionaires. They can say what they want and how they want.
