  3. Until this report I never heared anything about both leaders and to be honest most of my knowledge about Pakistan comes from the movie Ghandi and Ms Marvel. I have no advantages or disadvantages or any stakes in this and Pakistan is far far away. That being said ... never trust a populist. Populism is designed on lying and exaggeration. Talk and big-up the popular stuff and leave out the unpopular stuff. The problem with this: Reality is often boring and most about it are things you don't like. By only talking about popular stuff you distort reality. And you need politicians to deal with the bad stuff arguably even more. Good decissions are often unpopular decission. Only doing the popular stuff is creating more problems than they solve. How often do you do things you like and want to do but deep down you know they are not good for you. So with populism you automatically get a liar by design. Good campaigners no doubt ... but terrible politicians and often also terrible human beings.
