  2. Ancient Rome didn't have a democracy only a republic until Caesar (the guy who was stabbed). After him came one emperor after another only 2 in 10 were decent and only 1 really good the rest was corrupt, lazy and only interested in themselves some of them even borderline insane. And Rome not fell by an invasion but because corruption eroded it from the inside and because Rome refused to change.

Pastors with 65 mio private airplanes or even enough to make their own airports. Pastors with scandals in all flavors. You begin to doubt, lose trust and finally faith.

They cannot pass bills, let alone force a vote, they cannot control the timetable of Congress, they do not chair all the committee and cannot decide what is talked about, investigated, who is invited to speak, etc. ... all is controlled by the majority party and that is the GOP since 2022.
