  1. Why not. The Greeks were an important ancestor of western society. And had the first people thinking about the world without the presence of god (philosophy) and they thought about logic and basic science thanks for that BTW or the middle age would probably never ended into the renaissance.

Kurzgesagt has reset the year-counting of humanity according to what some scientists suggested away from the religious approach regarding christianity to the building of the first larger building in middle-asia which happens to be 10000 before christ or in other words 12020 years ago. A new year 0 for the history of humanity. The fact that the 4 last digits are the same as the christian calender helps a lot to simplify this without complex recalculation. There is a video about that in the library.
