One question is: Is Freedom of Speech also Freedom to Lie?

There are 3 important things in media which everyone should obey: 1) Truth 2) Manners 3) Transparency Truth You can be left or right or middle or exotic or whatever (= bias/opinion) but lies are unacceptable. Lies are intentional changes or leftouts of informations describing reality/what happened or what is. You can have any opinion or bias you want but you cannot properly made them on incorrect or incomplete informations (= misinformation). And worse doing it intentionally (= lying). Manners You can say what you want and how ... but not disrespectful and not if it damages the dignity of others. Transparency This is a little more complicated so bear with me. Everyone has bias if your want it or not. And if you are not careful it can taint the information you giving to others = Impacting the Truth/Reality which ends up either misinformation or a lie if this misinformation was intentional (= You know the truth and still tell it wrongly.) It is important that you are transparent about your potential bias on your channel meaning people watching it should know your potential bias. Lying or keeping silent about it is unacceptable. You cannot expect a Channel for Oilcompanies to say something bad about oil. You cannot expect a channel having ads from a weapons manufacturer to say something bad about this weapons manufacturer or weapons in general. That why those labels you see under some video saying who is funding this channel or to which organization this persons channel belongs is so important. You can say what you want but do not hide your bias. People can make their own opinions but keeping hidden who is funding you is dangerous.

Most people not even know what "Freedom of Speech" really means but arguing with it all the time. Putin is currently showing what it is and China is doing it for some years now, when you get imprisonsed for stating your opinion or just informations the government doesn't like. Example: Imagine Biden would put all people who say "Let's go Brandon" in prison. This would be the end of Freedom of Speech. Example (2): When you say the conflict in Ukraine is a war and not a "special operations" you can be imprisoned. Example (3): When you say Xi Jingping looks like Whinney the Poo you end up in prison in China.

A small tip from me regarding the clicking: When I am provided by social with a new source of information or a new channel I began to open it in private mode/ingognito-mode of the browser. In this mode the browser is not logging you in and forget everything the moment you close the window. With that the media I'm watching is not connected to my account (almost not the companies sometimes also use your IP adresse to make the connection between you and your account). When I am convinced this channel is okay than I watch it in the normal mode and potentially subscribe. Also when I am watching problematic channels I only watch them in private mode. Pro/Con +1 The Channel is not immediatly "poising" my profile meaning I will not get suggestions for more of the same -1 I cannot comment in this mode without logging in but this would made this excercise pointless -1 I cannot upvote/downvote in this mode. The alternative is to create a 2nd account just for this dedicated purpose for visiting new and/problematic content.

@X-Warrior.1119 I'm sorry. But I think some details on this are important. A lot of people not see the finer nuances anymore but they matter.

Funding - It is important to know how a channel is funded because this is impacting the channels bias. TYT for example is funded directly by the people watching it (almost) no ads but they are transparent about it choose their ads companies carefully and do not hide it. Problem with it is not much compared to the funding available to state sponsored, company funded or ads-based funding. However this system allows TYT to say what it wants and how it wants (= Independence). Germans had the same idea after the bad experience with Hitler 75 year ago. In Germany there is so called "public funded" Mainstream and Non-Mainstream media (TV and Radio and recently also some YT channels). The money is collected directly from the german people as a mandatory fee without government involvement. This should made sure that the government has no impact on the media funded with this or can threaten to pull funding to force a certain bias. And it makes also sure the media is not dependent on advertisements which bears risks of bias in favor of the advertisers. The UK has a similar model for the BBC however the UK government managed to place government-close people in the position of management. Just an idea for America for the future to make sure there are information-sources which are independent.
