  2. You need to change to PR (Proportional Represenation) for that according with a Proportional Voting system. Having more than 2 parties in a 2 party system is unworkable as many independents already noticed over the decades. The system is punishing you not being one of the 2 parties and making sure the side which did split lose the next election. It's like there is a built-in insurance to prevent any changes. Proportional Voting has a simple goal: Ensure the parliament looks 100% like people voted to the last percentage. It is the only way that all parties have the same chance of getting into the parliament not just one of two. PR also has a lot of other positive consequences like the end of the competetive law-making in favor of cooperation consensus-based law making, more stable law-making and less extreme law-making but this would take some time to explain.
