  7. It's complicated. They probably really thought they need to protect America. They were pushed into this and heard it constantly from liars. They sitting in a prison of lies. And they were told everyone outside is lying and not to be trusted.

  8. "Pops" put his family into this decission in the first place with his actions. The kids were forced into a terrible decission between righteousness and integrity and being silent about a crime out of family loyalty (and by doing so being dragged into it).
