  1. Sounds like Mr. Cameron might be a classic narcissist with sociopathic tendencies. They can be quite charming first and look totally normal and nice even, but you will not like the ending.

  2. Politicians are voted for their appearance and behaviour (and the quality of their ads) not for their competency, qualification and suitability. A solution would be proportional voting (people vote party, party gets seats according to percentage) and let the legislature choose the leader in a secret vote. This would end people vote leader by perception/media/superficial qualities. Germany introduced this after making bad experience with someone called Hitler. Result: No personality cults anymore and overall better quality of leaders.
