  2. What this really shows is why things get authorian in the United States. Some people don't know what to think anymore, trust has been eroded everywhere. They want someone to tell them what to do and where to go and who to believe. And since the right wing news told them for 40 years "all politicians (except the GOP) are liars" they go one step back further to christian fundamentalism and hope it helps. But all the real life problems remain. The GOP want power, not solutions. Quite the contrary the more problems there are (or voters think there are) the easier it is to get power.
