  3. Trump needs to be made an example. If not crime will rise because people lose faith in the justice system and the rule of law. Other insurrections will be encouraged to try again and to try other things. The rule of law is so fundamental that people not really grasp what happens without it. It's a cornerstone of society and societies fall apart without it. Especially because another cornerstone "trust" is crumbling for decades and can barely hold anymore. Just ask people how they trust police, politicans, elections, media, teacher, doctors, scientists, their neighbours even family members. It's all falling apart.
