  4. Hatred is the out-of-control version of anger. You should be aware of some properties of angers which helps you understand why it's kept alive and pushed so much in America. Anger is focused - Meaning anger is so strong that you can focus it only one target at any given time usually the last thing you were angry at and it also means when you are angry at something or someone the anger from other sources is focused on the same target. Humans have a hard time limiting anger - As mentioned already anger is focused and you tend to put all your anger on one target usually the last you were angry at. And humans tend to push all anger into the current target in other words you are more angry than justified which you probably experienced already either yourself or from someone. Anger can be directed - Because of the two above points anger can be directed or redirected. Meaning when someone is giving you a new target for the anger you are busy with that for a while. And your anger for the former target is moved to this new target. This is used by some media. They giving you a new target for your anger to move the anger away from perhaps more deserving targets. Anger and hatred can be addictive - Both are primal emotions they usually come with adrenalin and other hormones. You can become addicted to this. It also means the longer you have it the less likely you want to let go of it. And when you do it is like a bad hangover. This is how right-wing media works. To keep the anger alive and increase it if possible. And to give you new targets for your existing anger and away from the true source/reason of your anger to something they want you to be angry with.
