  1. They want people to be employed by merits ... by abilities, qualifications. Fine. We want that as well. But meanwhile the cabinett is filled with people who have no qualifications at all. Who only got the appointment because they say things Trump likes, who are ridiculously rich, who donated to him, who never disagree with Trump, who show blind obedience and may even be willing to break the law for him or help hiding it.

  2. Technically Trump was head of the ATC during the time of the accident because Trump did not appointed a new chair for the agency. When you are the boss you are responsible for what is happening or not happening under you. So of course Trump needed a scapegoat because these 60 casualties are on him.

  3. What Trump is not telling people is that they want to privatize Air Traffic Control so some billionaires can make an extra buck and to accelerate it they fired the chief of the ATC 9 days earlier AND put up a hiring stop to an agency which had already a severe shortage.
