  1. I'm not sure Trump can distinguish anymore between the truth and not. True for him is probably what he thinks (or wishes/believes/wants) to be truth ... but reality doesn't work like that.

  2. Because he told Americans what they wanted to hear regardless if true or not. And he promised improvement deliverable or not. And because he is so charming they believed him. And because certain media told them the believed it. And because their friends and neighbours who seen the same media told them too.
