  1. I think they react so strongly because deep down they already see the con but simply cannot admit it. They invested so much into Trump over the years they cannot allow this investment to fail. People who are really convinced and sure about something do not panic like that.

  2. I recently stumbled over a fascinating piece of information regarding jobs in the oil industry. Although America drills more oil than ever before in it's history the workforce was reduced by 62%. I wondered how that can be and got a pretty dry and simple answer: Automation. And suddenly I realized why they try so desperatly to blame Green Technology for job losses. Green Technology is constantly obstructed, unsupported, sidelined. There is no Green New Deal not even a draft for it. The oil industry is one of the top donors in congress bribing politicians legally (aka "donations") in order to change nothing and keep the subsidies alive (yes tax dollars for a profitable industry). For the "poor" workers who lost their jobs to automation oh sorry I mean Green Tech of course. Except fired workes do not get anything. So the oil companies keeping the subsidy and the higher profits after laying off staff.

  3. America has twice the oil consumption per head and year than any other comparable country in the G7. There has to be potential for savings.
