  2. Richard I wished you'd apply a little more nuance to the TikTok issue. Yes I agree with you ... some want to get rid of it because it has become a big social media plattform. But at the same time there is clear plentiful evidence of bias and involvement in favor of the chinese government party. Algorithms are manipulated to push certain content hurting America and stoking doubts, mistrust and misinformation. Pro-China content is pushed, Anti-China is suppressed, Anti-America content is pushed. They admitted to have spied on western journalists with the app. There is plenty of evidence of stolen private data and the app is taking control of your whole phone creating a potential security risk. In China exist no company without party members on the board. Companies are by law forced to give the chinese government everything it asks for. And the order was to sell it not to ban it. A ban only happens when they not sell it. And the chinese government is refusing to allow ByteDance to sell it. They sooner want it gone than lose it to western owners. People are worried that this plattform will be controled by the US government? How about the risk of being controled by an american adversary? Just the fact that the Chinese government is protesting the ordered sell tells you everything you need to know. Why do they want to prevent it when they have nothing to do with it? Another fact: TikTok is banned in China. They want the content to be seen by Americans, but not by their own citizens.

  3. FYI: During Trumps first presidency Trump met with Putin in Finnland. They had a private meeting and Trump send all people including his own American translator away. It was just him, Putin and Putins translator I think because Trump can obviously not speak russian. What can possibly be so sensitive that Trump is not even trusting his own american translator?

  4. Did you know that the chinese owner of TikTok is pushing content trying to convince people to move to a purely chinese app for some weeks now? It's called Red Note or something reminicent of Mao's Red Little book. They trying to save the influence over 110 mio Americans they have on TikTok in this desperate measure in case they lose control over TikTok. These are red flags confirming the national security concerns. Just because one thing is right doesn't make the other thing immediatly wrong. Both can be true at the same time.
