  1. You know Ben I feel kind of pity for this old man. Something is telling me this is someone who want to do the rigth thing do something for his country but got totally on the wrong road and way too deep in the rabbit hole. Probably the first time he had contact with the internet and social media. I don't really sense deception from him. I feel almost a challenge to meet this guy and talk with him about all the stuff very slowly, very calmy, very patiently and trying to give him a reality which makes sense. I would want to understand what brought him to his opinion and if maybe things in his life had something to do with it. I really would want to understand the background. And what I really would try to bring him to is begin to see things as they really are and than watch his reactions. I really really hope for this guy he wakes up before he dies and may feeling regret about all of this so he can die in peace and not as an ignorant fool.

  3.  @yellowblanka6058  I never said he is "sweet" and "nice" I expect him to be unfriendly, hostile, insulting and whatnot ... only makes the challenge more interesting. As long as I don't see active deception you can talk with people and convince them over time. If you detect deception however then it's pointless because they already know the truth and just pretend not to for whatever reason.
