  2. In the UK voters can file a recall-petition for their MP. When 10% of the voters of more sign it a recall election is triggered meaning like a Congress-vote just in this area. This also happens when the MP has become criminal. This ensures that voters can get rid of MPs who going political rogue, switching parties or loosing party membership and can get a new (or the same) representative for them in Congress.
