  1. This law that limits punishments is appaling and a clear manipulating to protect wealthy people and corporations from damages since the limit is only affecting them. It's so blatently corrupt even a child can see it. If you earn less the damages are less and you not reach the limit. - To put it in other words - They put themselves above the law so they can get away with a clap on the behind.
