  61. Looks much worse than it's actually is. CNN over-presenting it. 4% to 8% are right leaning ... for decades not 45% / 73 mio. But since Germany has Proportional Voting (PR) mixed with FPTP for locality the right-winger have major issues getting into government and have little or no say on legislation. They even lost influence in state-levels in the last years because they are simple incapable of doing resonable work as lawmakers and one scandal and corruption after another same as the Republicans. Germany learned it's lesson after WW2. The system is made Facism-proof on all kinds of levels and constantly watching for extremists on both sides and this keeps them in check. However the dissatisfaction and fatigue regarding Covid, Lockdown and restrictions created irrational protests largly based on misinformation campaigns. The same which fueling Anti-Vac, Covid-Myths and so on in the US. And those protests are constantly undermined by right-wing groups. Both groups constantly mix it's hard to say where one ends and the other begins. Same as the US actually. I think it's intentional the news sources of both are the same and among them a lot of older people not having enough critical thinking to deal properly with Social Media especially Facebook. And as older people they are easy victims to the fear-mongering. However Germany is changing. People turn their backs on the old large parties and turn to smaller ones which is thanks to a multi-party system and the election system no disadvantage for the voter. So the smaller parties of the center and and the extrem left and right get more votes among them the Greens who are currently even the largest party according to polls. Strange things. Germany never had a Green Majority or as Green Channcelor. And even not a Social-Democrat for a longer while. And neighter the Conservatives nor the ring-wing nor external parties like the Russians (Gas/North Steam 2) see kindly to that and probably try to prevent that if they can so I expect more misinformation and political smearing and potentially even again influence from Russia like in 2017. I'm pretty sure those protests and ring-wing movments are fueled from the outside to try to get into government and to somehow get a way to the leadership of the EU in order to weaken it, corrupt it from the inside and take it down if possible. There are a lot of tax-avoider, money-laundrer, billionaires, financial market people who want less regulations, shady bussiness people who have a major issue with the EU interfereing in their affairs and Germany is one of the top members, co-founder and a strong engine for the EU.

  159. I think the wrong questions are being asked here. The first and foremost question is: What are the people angry of? Angry at asians makes no sense. And not just because Asia is big and there are a lot of different cultures and countries there, even Russia is half on this continent. Someone told them they should be angry at asians, so their anger was redirected from something else by Republicans and Trump. Even this lawmaker here is activly trying to redirect the anger. But from what? Well probably Corona, Job-losses, low-wage, financial problems, housing problems, feeding problems, problems of society, their own problems in family, work, live I guess. They surely have enough a reason to be angry and being afraid and I don't blame them there are a ton of problems. And my theory is, the Republicans with the help of the right-wing media in form of Fox and Co is activly trying to steer and fuel the anger to 1) Avoid that the people eventually place the anger where most of their problems really coming from: Republicans and their Donors the so called Establishment (they make the rules, they were in power (still are in a lot of places)). 2) Angry people are less rational. They are easier to manipulate und seek ways to protect themselves and are willing to give up freedom for security and protection and would even be willing to vote the people who promise to protect them from that (Republicans). The people are being playing here by Republicans and the Right-Wing media. It's highly a-moral and manipulative what is really going on here. They playing on people's fears and exploit them and even artifically increase them.

  209.  @seemyeyesview9037  You are right sometimes new facts are discovered but politics is not Quantum Theory. But for the sake of this conversation stay on this: Scientsts found some facts / evidence in nature and started to think about it. They made a theory about how things work. But his is just an opinion. An opinion based on what was found on facts. If new facts come up and scientists detect a disrepency between their theorie (their opinion) and the new facts they check it and check it again and if the new facts turned out to be true ... they change the theory or in other words change their opinions. The same is happening in politics, economics, finance, doesn't matter it's always the same. Any theory (opinion) is acceptable until proven wrong by facts. This even has a name: It's called falsification and all scients work after this. Or should I say should work after this. And this method brought us this far. It's the reason for technology of the 21st century. And here is something burried you might overlook which is extremly important. In Science to change the accepted opinion you must disprove an existing theory/opinion. You can't prove your own theory simply because you of course want it to be true so you might "adjust" the prove (facts) in order to confirm your theory. Science discovered this problem and decided to instead say "everything is acceptable as long is it's not disproven". This solved a lot of problems with biasness. And it's also the reason why the middle age was running backwards (to the classic age). Because people just believed things often the things someone told them to believe. The Renaissance re-discovered this approach from the classical age and modern science and engineering was born.

  328. He is not telling the hole truth. Just about Voter-ID which is for some reason after 50 years a problem (or should I say after GA voted blue for the first time in 50 years). Lets talk about the decrement of drop-boxes. They changed it to one box for 100.000 people in a county meaning dense areas getting only one box for all citizens in the area and small towns (mostly Republican voters still have their one box for the 1000 people voting there). Or lets talk about the voting-day. Not being Sunday or a holiday. And the opening times closing on or before end of day-worktime. Or that Republicans can actually now decide partisan what ballots can be thrown out. And the Voting-ID? Is it free for poor people? Do you need ID to get VoteID ... probably. So they actually made it even harder to get registered. Than what about the rules about throwing out people from the registry without telling them about it? Or the rule to not be able to count the mailin ballots before election day, so the final result is available on election day. A law multiple states voted against ... and after the election complained why it took so long, where the "Dumps" of mailin ballots suddenly came from. Or lets talk about the number of election offices. Reduced in Democrat area so, which happend to be densly populated and thefore longer queues starts to build up .... increases waiting times and creating problems with foot, water and so on. It simply needs more voting offices in dense areas. But no ... do everything to make voting in those areas as unpleasant and potentially dangerous for health as possible. I mean this guy is Republican, he is losing his job next year if don't changes something. Of course they fight with all means to stay.

  426.  @mrhakz330  Biden did take care of Covid. The US is now the Top 1 in vaccination on the hole planet. And while Trump vaccinated only a couple 100k people Biden now reaches 3 mio per day. Biden promised to vaccinate 100 mio people by June. He reached this already in April and now promising 200 mio by June. He not only delivered but overdelivered and now promise even twice as much. Biden promised financial help for people. Biden delivered 1400$ for more than 90% of US citizens. Not quite 2000$ but you can thank the Republicans and DINOs for that. They threatened to block the bill (and in the end still tried). Biden promised financial help for small bussinesses like Restaurants, Cafés, Pubs, Cinemas, Theaters basically all who suffer the most under Covid. He delivered it. Biden promised financial help for schools so they can stay open and be made safely for teachers and children. He delivered it. Biden promised help for child poverty. He delivered it. Or more precise is currently delivering. And all this without help from the Republians who even tried to prevent the hole package. AND NOT ONE REPUBLICAN voted for the bill. The Democrats needed to do this alone with Budget Reconciliation. And now Republican States are so blind, so ignorant and learned absolutly nothing in the last 12 months and open up too quickly and too prematurely. Result: The numbers stopped going down despite extended vaccination. The only thing which keep Corona in check is that Biden is vaccinating like crazy or the number would be exploding again. Biden did in 6 weeks more than Trump in 4 years. Cancer? For over 50 years humanity looked for a cure and a politician should find it? Biden never promised or even hinten to promise he would cure cancer (for that he would earn the nobel price for medicine). What scientists say is that the innovative new technique used by Biden/Pfizer (mRNA) might bring progress and new possibilites for healing cancer. But noone ever promised anything.
