Took you long enough. There are people Youtubing (serpentza, laowhy86, ADVPodcasts) about China investigating this almost a year ago and delivering bits and pieces about this directly from the source over the last 12 months.

@Name-jw4sj Noone said they are experts yet alone virologists. But they investigated the issue and found bits and pieces about this which made sense and more importantly with some evidence to back it up.

1) Yes the Wuhan-Institute of Virology did reseach virology regarding animal-human transmission. It's known because they had job-offer about that in 2019 looking for experts with PHd grade. 2) There was even a mentioning of a new found virus strain in Dec 2019 and job offer for more personal. 3) China catches all kind life-animals and sell them on their markets. Bats are known to bear a lot of those type of viruses jumping from animals to humans. Therefore is not far fetched to assume they catched some of those animals for research in the lab. 4) An accident happens. Someone is bitten or something else while handling the research. 5) The virus got out (easy with Covid showing no symptoms for a while) 6) Danger is being underestimated by the authorities. Virus gets out of control. It makes absolute sense. It was an accident. And point 1 to 4 was not the problem since accidents happen. Point 5 and especially 6 was the problem.

The WHO investigation about this was a farce. Imagine the leader of the investigation team (a westerner btw) is the head of laboratory in Wuhan and receiving funds from the WHO and especially from China. This is like allowing the Gestapo to investigate the Holocaust.
