  5. Germany is the main forward-base for operations in Europe, West-Asia and the Middle-East and NATO base as well. It has hospitals for complex treatments so military-personel not die on the long way back to the states. Germany is not paying the US for protection here. Germany allows large areas to be used by the US including air-fields for bulk-transportation. The thing Trump mentioned was that Germany is slightly below the minimum-spending on military based on GPD. But even if Germany would spend more, the money would not be going to the US. NATO operates under the idea that every member spends 2% of it's GDP on miliary to ensure NATOs defense capabilities. And for your information Germany increased spending by 3.2% last year to a total of 63,8 bn $. That is 15 bn $ more than the United Kingdom.

  7. Inform yourself a little better next time. The cold war lasted until 1989. And after that the US removed 80% of all bases in Germany. The ones remaining are strategic not defensive. Germany has 64,000 troops of their own.

But don't complain when the next miliary operations failed because it took too long to react or create extra casualties because of lack of strategic support or if injured people die on the way back home to the US from the Middle-East or West-Asia.

  12.  @justanotheroldguy738  Germany has no war. Germany is one of main forward-bases serving the entire Middle-East and West-Asia. It's in the heart of Europe. There are military-hospitals there so military-personel can have complex treatments to not lose them on the long way back to the states. Russia would love to get rid of this base because Ukraine is also supplied from there.
