  1. The issue is those people have conflicting informations and the human brain is not very good dealing with such rifts in reality a state called Cognitive Dissonance appears. People are not rational anymore, they stop thinking and start feeling more and they are even able to say contradicting things in the same sentence. The brain just can't deal with this. What those people actually need is the truth and trust. And both are under constant attack in US media. Fox and right-wing Social Media is telling them lies and telling them not to listen to the other side anymore. They hear all day only one side which adds "Confirmation Bias" to the already bad situation. It's important to somehow stop the lies. Protect the truth somehow. Challenge all lies. Trust is more difficult to make. It cannot be attained quickly and needs time. I for one think it's time to protect the Truth more in our society. So I for one demand a new human right "The Right for Truth" parallel to "Freedom of Speech". It's the only way we can continue in the age of Social Media. Truth creates Trust and Trust creates Certainty and Safety. Even the weekest minds in our society are able to make good decissions if they are only confronted with the truth. And education. People needs to learn how to get information reliable, how to confirm information, what is a fact, what is an opinion, basic technique to filter, sort and work with information and methods to detect lies and manipulations and about critical thinking. But this takes time. Probably too late for this generation, so the at least the Truth should be protected somehow. But this is impossible with Channels likes Newsmax, OAN and Fox around throwing all off all the time.
