  1. The EU has the "level playing field" at the very heart to ensure fair competition on the market. Result: More Small Bussiness -> More Competition -> More Innovation -> Larger and more stable market and less monopolies

  2.  @pace6308  There are none left. Disappeared 30 years ago when the Iron Curtain fell. What is left are countries embracing the best of socialism and capitalism for a more balanced approach. Besides the UK that is it embaraced it more than the US (e.g. NHS) but much less than the continent hence similar problems the US has nowadays.
