  1. Fearmongering and fueling hate and anger. They want the anger of the people for which they have more than enough reasons to and noone can blame them for that, they want to direct the anger away from the Republicans creating the circumstances this country is in. Why? 1) Well first to avoid actually getting the anger they deserve themselves. 2) Enforce the prejuduces against immigrants 3) Use the anger to get elected once again 4) Use the election to pass laws on sthe side which makes them richer and/or their donators by tax cuts or favorable laws The things is although they promised "to deal with the problem" they are actually not intrested in them being solved because they get elected as long as problems are there. That's why those politicians always talk about the future, always only promise things but in the end never deliver.
