Tell me a country besides the US who legalized gun ownership in the way the US has? And no ... other countries have democracies as well. And "Red Shirts" retaking a newly made democracy are nowhere to be seen in the last 200 years ... and even if ... the military will deal with it. A normal citizen has no chances against drones and military-grade weapons nowadays anyways. They are only good for shooting other citizens. And 4 out of 5 gun owners only have guns because others have guns too. Guns are now an end in itself.

Actually the president can do more now since 9/11. The Patriot act and all is still there was never abolished. Bush was quite clever to use the opportunity to give him almost king-like powers. Have you ever found someone who was willing to give power back once attained? Especially a Republican.

@ricardocabeza6006 I have news for you. The Legislation is making the laws they can do almost anything. They just have to change the laws. And when they decide weapons should not be in the hands of future mass shooter than it's their very right to do so and even their duty!

@ricardocabeza6006 I don't take advice from ignorant fools. Do you deny the Patriot act was abandoned under Bush, under Obama or even under Trump? Trump tried to be king he LOVED executive order with that he almost could rule like a king as he saw his position (or by just as CEO). If it weren't for those pescy courts - which Trump try to fill with Sycophants as well ... and what good did it for him. See Supreme Court. See Election Fraud Cases. Cases thrown out by Trump's own judges. And on a final note. I didn't say Exeuctive Orders are final. I'm well aware that those can be overturned by courts as it happens so often (luckily) otherwise the President would stand above the law and would rule like a king. And I never said anything about this. But the Patriot Act gives the president still unprecedented rights to use executive orders ... until the courts say otherwise. Why do you think Biden want to use them as little as possible because he knows they are at best a temporary measure and only legislation (= laws) make long term changes.

@ricardocabeza6006 Name me another democracy on this planet having guns this freely and taken over by a corrupt government with citizens trying to remove the government by weapons or ever needed to! Even in the Civil War this was not used! And only the US had a Civil War AFTER the democracy had been established!

@ricardocabeza6006 Well I was talking about Post-WW2. And as if did any good when the public is agreeing to be overthrown as happened under Hitler and as it almost happened under Trump. Security for a free nation rests in the hand of the police and military. And the citizens ensure the safetly internally by voting. Do you really want to tell me you had any chance as a citizen if let's say China would occupy the US? Good luck. I hope you are really old.

@ricardocabeza6006 I can't remember Trumpists helping the police while calling for the heads of Pence and Pelosi. And I can remember Trumpists taking their 2nd ammendment to point it against public servants protecting the Capitol.
