  1. Not sure about federal workers but on private companies there was always anther angle to this. Rich people own office buildings and lease them to companies for top dollars. Companies needs office space for their workers. However home office means you need less office space or none at all. So the establishment is actually not that happy about home offices. And there is more to it. Restaurants and Bars in the city for lunch and dinner after office, Ueber and Lift losing potential customers. There is a lot of profit tied to you going to the office.

  3. LA just proves things cannot go on as they done until now. The planet doesn't care what we want, think, believe or feel. We keep pumping out more climate emission he keeps collecting more energy from the sun. Energy which is used to fuel storms, floods, drouts, colds leading to fires, ice, floods, destruction. Insurance becomes more expensive or impossible to get people move to other states or countries. Some areas become even unliveable for humans. It keeps coming and it is up to us to decide how bad it will become.
